After Alix Earle confirmed she had split from NFL player Braxton Berrios ahead of the holidays, she rang in New Year’s with another star athlete, Tom Brady (who was previously linked to Victoria’s Secret angel, Gisele Bündchen) in St. Barts.

A potential fling between Alix and Tom is just a rumor for now, but fans are already side-eyeing Alix’s dad, Thomas “TJ” Earle, for a joke he made about the former New England Patriots quarterback. In a TikTok video posted by Alix’s stepmom, Ashley Dupré (yep, the same one who fully beefed with Cheryl Burke as she competed on Dancing With the Stars) on January 4, TJ dropped some lore with Tom as she showed off her outfit.

In the clip, Ashley donned one of his oversized blue velvet blazers, which he claimed he only bought because he saw Tom wear a similar style on a red carpet.

“I actually got that jacket because I saw Tom Brady wearing one like that,” TJ claimed, to which Ashley replied, “Are you joking?”

“I swear to God,” he confirmed, as Ashley doubled down, seemingly alluding to Alix and Tom’s dating rumors.

“Are you serious? You know what, honey, you just say the darnedest things. How ironic is that?” she said, later adding that she wouldn’t be “cutting” the moment from her TikTok.
